Puthuppally St. George's Orthodox Church CBSE School at Puthuppally Kottayam is the realization of a long cherished desire and dream of the members of the church, to establish an ideal school providing quality education to all based on the CBSE curriculum. It is widely accepted that the CBSE pattern of education will lay the foundation in the formative year of the child for good higher education and professional courses in future. Hence the school will be affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi. The establishment of this school will also open a new era in this history of Church in the path of development and service to its members in particular and people in and around Puthuppally in general.

Hon: Chief Minister Mr. Oommen Chandy inaugurated the School on 2nd January 2005 and His Holiness Baselious Marthoma Mathews II Blessed the new admission on Ninth May 2005. The first academic year of the school commenced on June 2005 with the pre-primary classes (LKG, UKG and Std I ) operating in the church auditorium complex while the work on the construction of 5 acre school campus is underway. 

Attached to the LKG, there will also be a pre-school which will function as a stepping stone for the little ones taking their first stride in the wonderful world of letters. The school will open secondary and higher secondary classes in due course. The new school campus is designed to incorporate modern infrastructure with the best possible environment both indoor and outdoor, conducive to the attainment of all round excellence in scholastics, sports an extracurricular activities.

Admission is limited to only 30 students in a class to ensure individual attention to each and every student. In this caring environment pupils are provided with a wide range of learning opportunities helping hem to grow into independent responsible members of society. A student-friendly curriculum, moderate tuition fees, computer education from LKG classes onwards, special emphasis on spoken English, termly education trips, well qualified and competent teaching staff, wide range of co-curricular activities and an Advisory Board consisting of distinguished educationists are special features of the school.

Children come to school eager to learn new things. The emphasis will be mainly to create an interest in the child towards learning and make it a pleasant and enriching experience, coupled with colours, music and toys. At the early stage of learning, it is important to set a routine in the child's life and parents are advised to set aside a little time each day to discuss what their child has done at school.

The school will succeed only if there is a close partnership of mutual trust between school and home. Together we can ensure that these aim are fulfilled and that the child will recall their school days with pleasure.

The purpose of the above rules and regulations is to guide and assist in providing the student with a quality education. Students and parents are required to observe and to adhere to these rules.
The management reserves the right to amend or add or modify the rules and regulations of the school as and when required.
